Located between the Porte Maillotte metro stations and the Pont Cardinet metro stations, Promenade Pereire is a beautiful green oasis in the middle of the dynamic district that is the 17th arrondissement of Paris. The Pereires were two French bankers who founded the Crédit Mobilier bank in 1852. They helped develop the railway system in France. They played an important role in the development of French railways. The Promenade de Pereire is partly based on railways. Whether you prefer to stroll in natural surroundings or read alone, there will be a place where you feel comfortable. These gardens are not very well known to tourists and Parisians. The Promenade de Pereire is therefore, in addition to a pleasant walk, a good way to explore neighborhood life in the 17th arrondissement of Pairs. Discover Parc Monceau near Le BreakFor those who like to go on an adventure, Parc Monceau is also an excellent place to stroll or enjoy a sunny afternoon. Located near the 8th and 17th arrondissements, Parc Monceau is a one-of-a-kind park filled with ruins, sculptures by famous artists, and lush greenery. Le Break, brunch in Paris 17, takes you on a tour to discover its history and its particularities. For the record, Parc Monceau was once the property of the Duke of Chartres, who had commissioned the artist Carmontelle to create an “illusory” country for his pleasure. This park was originally opened in 1775 as a pavilion surrounded by a formal garden, which no longer exists. It was designed as a pleasure garden that combines ancient Egypt, exoticism and medieval times, such as the recreation of an Egyptian pyramid and a nautical theme, referencing depictions of naval battles in antiquity classic. Parc Monceau is isolated by a green belt, sumptuous buildings and mansions. Here, calm reigns in this large park, just a 15-minute walk from our Californian restaurant in Paris, where you will discover numerous marble statues of famous writers and musicians of the time. A perfect place for a romantic or family walk, this park has several places where you can relax and enjoy the good climate and atmosphere. We couldn't talk about Parc Monceau without talking about its incredible animal and plant diversity. It is one of the green parks in Paris that offers the greatest variety of bird species, due to its high canopy of trees and the cool water in which carp and other fish swim.
